Child development centre in Kollam Every child grows at their own pace. We help them along the way.
Alora is a paediatric wellness and research centre in Kollam. We help children with speech, movement, learning, behaviour and emotions, and we guide their families along the way.

Signs your child may benefit from support
Every child develops differently. These are reasons to ask, not a diagnosis. If something worries you, an early conversation helps.
Speech & language delay
Few words for their age, speech that is hard to understand, stammering, or difficulty following simple instructions.
Autism spectrum
Limited eye contact or response to their name, repetitive play, strong reactions to change, or difficulty playing with others.
Attention & ADHD
Finds it much harder than other children to sit, focus, wait or finish a task.
Learning difficulties
Struggles with reading, writing or numbers despite effort, or finds school routines very hard.
Motor & sensory needs
Clumsy or tires easily, avoids certain textures or sounds, or finds pencils, buttons and self-feeding difficult.
Behaviour & emotions
Frequent meltdowns, anxiety, trouble sleeping, or difficulty making friends.

KollamFrequently asked questions
Still have a question?
Call or WhatsApp the centre nearest you. We are happy to talk it through before you book.
Contact a centreHow do I know if my child needs an assessment?
If you have noticed differences in how your child talks, understands, plays, moves, pays attention or behaves compared with other children of the same age, or a teacher or doctor has raised a concern, an assessment is a good first step. It gives you clear information, even if the answer is that your child is on track.
What happens at the first visit?
We talk with you about your child's history, daily routines and your concerns, and observe your child through play so they stay comfortable. We then explain what we found and suggest next steps in plain words. Please bring any previous reports or school notes.
Which centre should I visit?
Choose whichever is closer to you. We have three centres in Kollam: Pallimukku, Nilamel and Anchal. Call the one nearest you, or use its Directions button, and we will help you book.
Which languages do your therapists use?
Sessions and parent discussions are in Malayalam, and we are happy to talk in English as well.
Are parents involved in therapy?
Yes. Progress happens at home as much as at the centre, so we share your child's goals with you, explain each step and give you simple activities to practise between sessions.
What are your opening hours?
Monday to Saturday, 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, and Sunday 9:30 am to 1:00 pm. Please call before visiting so we can give you a time.
How do I book an appointment?
Call or WhatsApp our Pallimukku centre on 80897 97945 or our Nilamel centre on 77363 61098, or send an enquiry from our Contact page.
Have a question about your child's development?
Talk to us. If you are unsure whether your child needs support, an assessment is a good place to start.
